DreamLog — Privacy Policy

Summary: DreamLog stores your dream journal entries locally on your device. We do not sell your personal data. AI processing is done via secure API calls. You are always in control of your data.

1. Information We Collect

DreamLog collects only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

Dream entries — titles, descriptions, moods, and tags you write. Stored locally on your device.
App usage data — anonymous analytics to improve performance (no personal identifiers).
Purchase information — processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not see your payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide AI dream interpretation via our secure API
To generate AI dream artwork based on your dream content
To send morning reminder notifications (only if you enable this)
To process your premium subscription through Apple

3. AI Processing

When you request an AI interpretation or dream image, your dream content is sent securely to our AI processing service (fal.ai). This data is:

Transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections
Used only to generate your interpretation/image
Not stored permanently on our servers
Not used to train AI models
Not shared with third parties for marketing

4. Data Storage

Your dream journal is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. We do not back up your dreams to our servers. If you delete the app, your local data will be deleted.

6. Notifications

DreamLog may send you a morning reminder notification to record your dreams. This feature is optional and can be turned off at any time in Settings → Notifications or in your device's Settings app.

7. Children's Privacy

DreamLog is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

Access — All your data is visible to you within the app
Delete — Delete individual dreams or all data from Settings
Export — Use the share feature to export dream entries
Opt-out — Disable notifications at any time

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all API communications. Your dream data on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security features.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app. Continued use of DreamLog after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
